The restaurant Sempione 42 in the heart of Milan, offers a cuisine that takes great care choosing its raw materials and seasonal specialities, in unusual combinations that are always right on target and a menu that is renewed nearly every month.
At lunch, Sempione 42 offers a fixed price menu with two fast courses, different every day and always satisfying.
The evening, on the other hand, is the time for creative and surprising gourmet cuisine.
Among the appetisers the foie gras plays a dominating role, offered, for example as Terrine with concord grape aspic, Escalope with figs and brioche, or cremino with balsamic centre covered with spiced chocolate.
Classic Milanese dishes are revisited with a new look, as in the case of the Croquette of ossobuco with a saffron foam and gremolata, or the Crispy polenta mille-feuille and perch fillets in salmonidae with red onion sorbet and raspberry vinegar.
The desserts, also excellent, feature mille-feuille, mousse, custards, ice creams and sorbets all rigorously made on the premises.
The cellar includes an interesting selection of exclusively Italian sparkling and still wines.
