A breathtaking panorama from the Art Deco Terrace Suite in Bologna
14/05/2008
The splendour of the new suite at the Grand Hotel Baglioni in Bologna lies in its large spaces - double rooms and bathrooms, and an airy lounge - but above all, in its breathtaking view of the city
The suite boasts a terrace of over 60 square metres, furnished with tables and comfortable armchairs: the ideal location for small private events, far from the chaos of the city yet remaining right in the centre. It is a unique viewpoint from which to experience the city of Bologna and enjoy its incredible historic and artistic riches. From the terrace, the city’s principal monuments, Piazza Maggiore and the Fountain of Neptune, may be admired, as well as the surrounding Bolognese hills.
For the interiors, the recurrent style for the furnishings and accessories is Art Deco, while in the various zones the predominant tone is beige with walls covered with precious textiles embellished with a touch of gold. The result is a soft, intimate atmosphere thanks to the colour choices which contrast with the glistening white marble of the two bathrooms, and to the minimalistic design.
It is one of the most luxurious suites in the city, reconfirming the Grand Hotel Baglioni’s commitment to beauty, and the only one able to give its guests the pleasure of a stay in close contact with an artistic heritage of rare beauty. In fact, the building is situated on an ancient Roman street of which it conserves archaeological relics, as well as the famous frescoes in which the Carracci brothers tell of the history of Europe and the adventures of Jason.
