The great wines of the Biondi Santi cellars meet the real traditional Tuscan cuisine at Brunello Lounge&Restaurant in Rome
From the 27th of November to the 3rd of December, the “Brunello Lounge & Restaurant”, at the Regina Hotel Baglioni in Rome, pays homage to the excellence of the regional gastronomy, with a journey around the traditional cuisine in great Tuscan style, played masterfully by the Chefs Luciano Sarzi Sartori and Gianluca Di Pirro and accompanied by the renowned wines of the Biondi Santi cellars.
“I am particularly glad that the ‘Brunello Lounge & Restaurant’ has been chosen to host this event” said Marco Milocco, General Manager of the Regina Hotel Baglioni in Rome. “The promotion of a territory and its gourmet products needs references, special places, history: the ‘Brunello Lounge & Restaurant’ is all of this, it is the ideal setting for the realization of a journey into the different expressions of the Tuscan gastronomic culture. And at a time when we need to highlight and recognize the role of the operators who represent our best local tradition – concluded Marco Milocco – with ‘Brunello@Brunello’ we wanted to encourage the public recognition of this function, by organizing special events involving our regional excellences”.
The menu, created by the Chef Gianluca Di Pirro, owner of the Restaurant “Al Giardino” in Montalcino, includes, among many proposals, the potato cetica tortelli with Chianina ragout, the Chianina stew with polenta “otto file” and the variations in beated Chianina: meat will be provided by the historical Butcher’s Fracassi, located in Rassina, Arezzo. On November the 27th protagonist the special boiled meat from Tuscany.
The menu will be accompanied by the Brunello Biondi Santi, an exceptional witness of the Tuscan tradition in producing wine, a wine of great structure and features, characterized by an intense ruby red color that fades with age, with a typical, light and harmonious bouquet, and a delicate scent of vanilla and vineyard in flowering: its perfect organoleptic characteristics, the long aging in durmast barrels from Slavonia and an equally long refining in bottle, make the Brunello Biondi Santi a particularly long-lived and balanced wine.
Today, Franco Biondi Santi, the son of Tancredi, annually produces about seventy thousand bottles, he exports its wines all over the world and keeps Brunello’s Reserves in his private cellar from the distant 1888.
“Brunello Lounge & Restaurant”, located in the cot of the “Dolce Vita”, the historical Via Veneto, is a bar, a lounge, a restaurant. The restaurant of the Regina Hotel Baglioni in Rome has always been one of the most appreciated addresses by the gourmets of the capital, a place where regional cuisine and culture, design and taste meet each other. The atelier of the great culinary creativity, managed by the Chef Luciano Sarzi Sartori, is a multisensory place with a unique, contemporary and refined design, both in details and service. It is the true luxury with an Italian taste.
