“Luxury with an Italian touch” at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London

An event designed to communicate the Baglioni Hotels philosophy and the very essence of Italy in all its forms

“Luxury with an Italian touch”, an evening dedicated to everything Made in Italy in the prestigious setting of London’s Victoria and Albert Museum on 26 October, an event designed to communicate the Baglioni Hotels philosophy and the very essence of Italy in all its forms.

Opening this cocktail party were Luca Magni (Senior Vice President of the Baglioni Group) and Dr. Rowan Watson (Senior Curator of Manuscripts at the Victoria and Albert Museum) who introduced the exhibition dedicated to “Leonardo da Vinci: Experience, Experiment & Design”, an event currently taking place at the V&A which could be visited in complete privacy during the evening.

During this special evening, the guests were guided though a multi-sensory experience, which allowed them to touch with their own hands the Italian design of the Maserati car (a partner of Baglioni) and Aprilia motorbikes which were exhibited outside and inside the museum.
As far as the food tasting section was concerned, the corner with a selection of typical Italian dishes and wines prepared by Stefano Stecca, chef of the Hotel Baglioni London, was a great success, as well as the champagne and pâté tastings provided by Moët & Chandon: a reminder of the five Hotel Baglioni Relais&Chateaux present in France. The highlight of the evening was the fashion show with the participation of some of the most important Italian labels, including: Blumarine, Mariella Burani, Byblos, René Caovilla, Enrico Coveri, Gianfranco Ferrè, Iceberg, Krizia, La Perla, Moschino, Trussardi and Versace, to name but a few. Each fashion house presented a selection of the most elegant evening outfits from the Autumn-Winter collections. René Caovilla also exhibited his collection of shoes and bags of rare beauty and expert craftsmanship.

Representatives of the luxury sector, celebrities, top clients of all partners, and the Italian and international press participated in the event, all united for this special occasion for a taste of today’s luxury, a sensation, an emotion that we wish to convey, with an entirely Italian touch.
