“Gastronomie, mes amis du cinema et musique” paintings by Jean-Pierre Duriez, held at the elegant hotel on via Veneto

From November 30 until December 13 at the Brunello Lounge and Foyer of Regina Hotel Baglioni in Rome French artist Jean-Pierre Duriez displays his works in which today's doll-man comes to life on canvas: 53 of his works can be admired in the luxurious rooms of the hotel on via Veneto.

This exhibit is born of the interest that Duriez has always nurtured for painting: from his past as film director and actor, to the present as an artist who sees in a blank canvas the same link to a television's “blank screen”, as he defines it.

“I paint that which I can no longer find words for”, Duriez comments his works which are a series of images that speak to the observer in a mysteriously simple way.

The French artist enthusiastically declares, “Italy has once again stretched its arms out to me making my Italian and Roman life start all over again”. Regina Hotel Baglioni with its perfect Italian refined hospitality is the ideal place to receive the works of an artist who feels so strongly bound to Italy and the tasteful elegance of Rome.

Marco Milocco, General Manager of Regina Hotel Baglioni in Rome says, “We are very enthused to have been chosen by the well-known French artist who sees in us all that he loves in our country.”

Regina Hotel Baglioni, known for the care it takes in every detail and its personalized service is the ideal place for an artist who would like to rediscover communication that words cannot express through his works of art.

The historic Regina Hotel Baglioni on via Veneto was built in 1904 in Art Nouveau style and named after Queen Margherita of Savoia.
