SAM – Spazio Arti e Mestieri, Florence
Inaugurated in 2009, the SAM – Spazio Arti e Mestieri in Florence is a venue entirely dedicated to crafts and artistic events.
It is a multipurpose space that recalls the close bond between Arts and Crafts, particularly in the woodworking, decoration, sculpture, ironworks, painting, printing, engraving, goldsmith and restoration sectors.
Located in the Conventino, a historic Florentine building scrupulously restored in 2003 to recapture its original architectural and functional characteristics, the SAM hosts laboratories, workshops, events, exhibitions and conferences within its 3500 square metres.
