Restaurant Cenacolo del Pescatore, Florence
The Cenacolo del Pescatore is the classic restaurant that is impossible to come upon by chance. Away from Florence’s busiest streets and close to Carabinieri headquarters, its exterior is unlikely to catch your eye.
Once you’ve crossed the threshold (ring the bell and someone will let you in) you will find yourself in a refined and elegant restaurant with relaxing décor and lighting.
Chef Daniele Pescatore proposes a contemporary, experimental and innovative fish-based cuisine, using and only the very freshest, high quality ingredients.
The Grand Carte menu has two culinary visios, the Mediterranean Selection and the Contemporary Selection. The first reinterprets the classic dishes of Mediterranean and Neapolitan coastal cuisine, such as Acqua Pazza (poached fish), Paccheri di Gragnano al Granchio (paccheri with crab sauce) or Panzanella (Italian bread salad made with onions, tomatoes, basil, olive oil, vinegar, herbs and chunks of bread), while the second explores new frontiers in flavour with unexpected combinations, such as Tagliatelle ostriche e lime (tagliatelle with oysters and lime) or Tartare di tonno su spaghetti e pepe verde (tuna tartar on a bed of spaghetti with green pepper).
Why not leave your order in the creative hands of our chef and allow him to prepare a surprise three to five course meal from the catch of the day?
