In 1369 Jacopus Turini de la Scharperia registered the company with the Florentine Metalworkers’ Guild (Arte dei Fabbri di Firenze).
More than six centuries later, the Opificio Orafo Torrini, the fourth longest-run family business in Italy and member of the exclusive Les Hénokiens association, continues to produce exceptionally modern jewellery and goldware.
The historic store in Piazza Duomo is a showcase where visitors can admire watch and jewellery collections, accessories and objects in gold and silver.
On the upper floor is a museum with a 200-strong collection of items made over the centuries by this dynasty of Florentine goldsmiths.
