Teatro delle Rocce – Gavorrano
The Teatro delle Rocce in Gavorrano stands on the remains of an old quarry known as the Cava di San Rocco.
With its characteristic Greek amphitheatre layout, the theatre means blends with the landscape, with the historic district of Gavorrano as backdrop.
The theatre, which seats up to 600 spectators on its steps but has room for a further 1400, hosts an important festival every year from July until September, with a wide range of theatre, music, dance and literature events.
