ICA – Institute of Contemporary Art, London
The Institute of Contemporary Art, better known as the ICA, is a not-for-profit multi-disciplinary arts centre located in The Mall in central London.
Founded in 1947 by a group of artists, poets and writers, it is now an avant-garde centre that continues to propose ideas and experiments in all artistic fields.
The centre houses two galleries, two cinemas, a reading room, a bookshop and a café/bar, as well as a theatre that hosts the musical performances of musicians and independent bands.
Seminars, concerts, screenings, art exhibitions, theatre performances and readings are held on an almost daily basis.
The programme changes on a week by week basis and include a number of workshops and educational activities to bring people of all ages closer to art.
