London’s very own Temple of Cheese. No other words can describe this fromagerie that stocks the cheese produced by seventy cheesemakers on farms around the United Kingdom, as well as Brie de Meaux and the French Comte and the Italian Parmigiano Reggiano and Greek Feta.
Director Randolph Hodgson is one of the most eminent cheese experts in the world and personally selects every producer.
On entering one of the city’s two retail outlets (one in Covent Garden and one near Borough Market), visitors will be inebriated by the aroma that envelops them and cannot help but feel disorientated when faced with the vast variety of cheese on offer.
Most of the cheeses are made from cow’s milk, although cheese made from goat’s milk and sheep’s milk is also available.
Neal’s Yard Dairy also stocks one cheese made from buffalo milk, Laverstoke Park Mozzarella, which is produced in Hampshire.
