Locanda Locatelli Restaurant, London
Managed by Giorgio Locatelli, Italian chef and Londoner by adoption, the Locanda Locatelli is a landmark of Italian haute cuisine in London.
Kitchen staff are almost all Italian, as are most of the ingredients, which are all carefully selected and imported from Italy, such as the Gamberi di Mazzara del Vallo (Crayfish), Pasta di Gragnano and the selection of cold cuts.
With one Michelin star, this restaurant stands apart from its competitors for the special attention paid to diners with food allergies and intolerances, with recipes that are created in collaboration with leading research centres.
The restaurant is even has a separate kitchen for the preparation of “special” foods without risk of contamination.
Another characteristic factor is the chef’s personality, who in spite of having become a real TV star, welcomes clients with warm nonchalance, always exploiting an opportunity to enjoy some social repartee after dinner.
The wine cellar is listed by Wine Spectator as one of the best in the world and features a vast assortment of wines – primarily Italian – as well as some French champagnes and Spanish and Portuguese dessert wines.
