Agent Provocateur Boutique, London
It was 1994 when Joseph Corré, son of Vivienne Westwood, and his then companion opened the first Agent Provocateur boutique in Soho with the aim of providing the best luxury lingerie that one could wish for, with a special focus on the quality of the tailoring and materials, plenty of colour and a particular penchant for retro burlesque corsets.
The couple soon found that they had no option but to create their own range of lingerie to reflect all the various elements that they couldn’t find in other brands.
Agent Provocateur immediately gained renown for its advertising campaigns featuring some of the sexiest female stars, such as Kylie Minogue and Kate Moss.
Today the brand features lingerie, kimonos, slippers, accessories, perfume and swimsuits.
In London’s Soho boutique you will find black and pink Rococo furniture, rock music playing in background and the famous saleswomen wearing 1950s pink nurses’ uniforms, with lingerie on show.
