The Penhaligon brand was founded in 1870 by William Penhaligon, a resourceful “alchimist” - as he loved to call himself - who obtained the title of Barber and Perfumer to the Royal Court.
The first shop opened in London, in Jeremy Street, near the famous Hammam Turkish Baths, which were attended by London’s high society.
Not by chance, one of the most famous fragrances by Penhaligon's, created in 1872, was dedicated to this demanding and refined clientele and took the name of Hammam Bouquet.
This was followed by many others, including Blenheim Bouquet which was appreciated by Sir Winston Churchill and still very famous.
Today Penhaligon's offers a range of exclusive fragrances, with different accessories including elegant travel sprays and shaving and bath products continuing, thanks to the talents of its perfume masters, the tradition of a brand that has been a synonym of elegance and personal care for over 130 years.
