Francesco Messina Museum Studio, Milan

Founded in 1974, the Civico Museo Studio Francesco Messina is located in the old deconsecrated church of S. Sisto al Carrobbio near via Torino in Milan.

Of Sicilian origin but Milanese by adoption, Francesco Messina was even awarded the title of Honorary Citizen, producing a vast array of works spanning almost eighty years.

The Museum, which was also the artist's studio, is now home to around eighty sculptures, including plasters, polychrome earthenware, bronzes, and waxes, as well as thirty or so graphic works, including lithographs and pastel drawings, pencil drawings and watercolours that artist donated to the Municipality of Milan.

Opening hours
Tuesday to Saturday, from 2pm to 6 pm.
