Luciana Matalon Foundation Museum, Milan
Painter, sculptor and jewellery-maker: Luciana Matalon, and eclectic and multifaceted artist, who trained in Brera in the 1960s, and has successfully drawn on various influences and inspirations from her travels in America, Europe and Japan.
This vast exhibition space (700 square metres), situated in Foro Bonaparte in the heart of Milan’s historic centre and just a stone’s throw away from Sforzesco Castle, hosts a collection spanning fifty years.
Yet the Luciana Matalon Museum Foundation, created and customised by the artist herself, is not only a permanent personal exhibition, that rotates the various works of Luciana Matalon on an ongoing basis.
The entrance hall, the spacious intermediate floor, and the initial exhibition halls are in fact dedicated to exhibitions, conferences, and cultural events for the promotion of authors and contemporary artistic expressions, as well as concerts and recitals.
