Roméo et Juliette

In cooperation with Deutsche Oper Berlin and Opéra National de Paris, the La Scala in Milan presents Roméo et Juliet, from 19 December 2012 to 08 January 2013.
The Opera in five acts written by Charles Gounod with the libretto by Jules Barbier and Michel Carré based on Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is still one of the least known in Italy notwithstanding that one of its most representative arias , Je veux vivre dans ce rêve, was sung by many sopranos including Maria Callas.
Choreographed by Sasha Walts, the ballet will have as special guests the two étoiles Aurélie Dupont and Hervé Moureau on 19, 28 and 29 December.
