Very disappointing approach of the management team. We had reservation for 1 night on 15th September but unfortunately I was seriously sick on the morning of 14th September. I tried to cancel the reservation but instead of understanding I got sms that my credit card was charged immideately during my conversation with reservation department. And they took even more money than my reservation! Insted of 572 euro I was charged for 629 euro. The price is not cheep in this hotel and it is not respectful attitude. I travel a lot and never met this kind of attitude in 5 star hotel. I will never use this hotel again and will make sure no one from my friends will stay there! Take an extra thought before choosing this hotel...

Your reservation had a cancellation policy of 7 days prior to the arrival, as it was also indicated in the confirmation mail our booking office sent you. 7 days cancellation policy is normally applied during exhibition period such as fashion or on some city big events like Formula1 grand Prix, furniture fair, in general on all highest peak days. Of course on our confirmation letters we always indicate the cancellation policy. Your cancellation was done 1 day before arrival so, as per our policy, the penalty was automatically charged by the system for the room rate amount including 10%VAT, that is why the amount was higher than the room rate only. Vat is normally considered a part. The occurrence of you calling the booking and the charge was a mere coincidence. We understand your discomfort and the unexpected reason for your cancellation, and in spite of what majority of other brands would do, we are glad to overcome the rule. We will apply 50% of the penalty as a proper penalty, and we will re-credit the remaining 50% to your hotel bill during the course of your future stay with us. Having been so delighted last year with our stay at the Carlton Hotel Baglioni, we were so disappointed this year. Our room this year (#135) was not of five-star quality -- not sure it even merited one-star. A five-star hotel should not have 3 lights out in the bathroom, two lights out in the entrance hall, water stains and other stains from unknown sources all down the wall paper, a broken chandelier above the bed, empty tissue box holder, rotted wood around the bathroom framed door, dirty and tired carpeting and bedding, cheap garbage pan in the bathroom that fell over each time you tried to open it....the list goes on and on. It was very depressing to return each night to this awful room, knowing that we had paid five-star prices and were not receiving five-star accomodations. Eating in the patio room was also ridiculous -- 80 Euros for 2 awful panini sandwiches, 1 coke, and 1 proscuitto with melon. Just because a guest may have money does not mean the hotel should be taking advantage of the guest without delivering a quality experience.

Abbiamo soggiornato 1notte in questo Hotel e ci siamo sentiti subito accolti da una sincera gentilezza. La poszione è eccezzionale per lo shopping.La colazione è ricca e gustosa. Il costo è un po' impegnativo, ma ne vale la pena. particolarmente gentile il barman che ci ha consigliato un ottimo ristorante.

“Unforgettable stay......” My husband and I decided to give us a weekend in the capital of fashion to relax and take advantage of summer sales. Some of our friends had recommended to stay at the Carlton Baglioni and we decided to trust this advice. It has been a perfect weekend! The location is the best you can find in the city with a direct entrance in Via della Spiga. The staff were discreet and yet very kind and helpful. Special thanks to the concierge who supported us in choosing the best restaurants in town. We gave to ourselves a moment to relax in the Spa and this has helped make our stay perfect. We recommend it to all those who seek elegance, comfort and relaxation.

“amazing atmosphere and beautiful people!” I decided last minute to go to Italy with my sister and some friends recommended me this hotel. Since the beginning everybody has been extremely friendly. we arrived early in the morning (very tired) and they made exceptionally our room ready in 1h! After an healthy breakfast we went at the SPA and we enjoyed a magic body massage! Spiga 8 is the best in the area! Location is amazing (most popular brands and shops are few steps from the hotel and concierge helps to find everything!). the staff speaks english, portuguese, russian and even arabic! The hotel is a multicultural and chic "meeting point" ... even the bar ... full of intersting people every night! ... Finally we didn't expect such a great night life and cultural places from Milan ... We are going back on January bringing with us other friends!

“feeling at home”. We always spend at least once a year some time in MIlan and this year, Carlton Baglioni was suggested by friends, we certainly made the right choice, we really felt like at home away from home, by the way, Hotel has a great location in the towncenter and everything is walking distance especially in terms of shopping, something we always do during our trip to Milan. Staff was friendly and always helpful and the service was just perfect ......!!! We really had a nice stay... feeling at home away from home!

The service was very good. The concierge advise very helpful. The location from our point of view was perfect with the shops and Duomo all close. We never ate in the hotel however I understand the restaurant to be very good.

Very good location, especially so if proximity to the most prominent shopping area is of interest to you. The hotel's back entrance opens up directly into Via della Spiga, while the Duomo is a nice 8 - 10 minutes walk away. The people at the reception desk proved themselves quite helpful in everything we asked of them to do. The styling with lots of wood and marble imparts a certain atmosphere and ambiance to the hotel. There is a cafe and a restaurant that seem to be popular enough.

My mother and I went for a weekend. The rooms were lovely, right in the centre of all the best shops. Breakfast was great, the only let down was the hotel main restaurant, but there are plenty of local fab restaurants. The concierge was fantastic and so helpful, really went above and beyond to help us. Our flight was going to be delayed, so just in case he had booked us on the tour to see the last supper. As is happens our flight was not delayed and we didn't get to go. We were well looked after when we stayed there. Carlo the head concierge I have to mention because he really was so helpful.

Good hotel in central Milan. I stayed one night at this hotel in a superior room. The room was spacious but the decoration very traditional. The room service was competent and the quality of the food very good. I will recommend this hotel if you have meeting in central Milan.
