Giorgio and Isa de Chirico Foundation, Rome
Founded in Rome in 1986 to protect Giorgio de Chirico’s artistic legacy, the Giorgio and Isa de Chirico Foundation opened its doors to the public in 1998 as a House Museum.
This is the only museum entirely dedicated to the artist, with two floors of exhibition space housing around sixty oil works and various sculptures that trace the development of de Chirico’s career that led to metaphysical painting.
His famous horses, portraits, self-portraits, still lifes, sculptures, drawings and sketches are exhibited here.
