Villa Massimo – Accademia Tedesca, Rome
Founded by Eduard Arnhold almost a century ago, Villa Massimo hosts artists from Germany who, thanks to the scholarships awarded by the German Academy in Rome, are able to live and work here in the capital for a year.
Ten spacious ateliers with annexed apartments are made available to the artists (composers, architects, writers and figurative artists).
With its vast programme of events, exhibits and performances by scholarship winners and other emerging artists, Villa Massimo represents German art in Italy by promoting and incentivising cultural exchange with Italy.
