Louise Nevelson

From 16 April to 21 July 2013, Fondazione Roma Museo presents the show Louise Nevelson, dedicated to the Russian-born American sculptor Louise Berliawsky Nevelson (1899 – 1988).
Among the avant-garde artists of the 20th century, nestled between Futurism and Dadaism, the works of Nevelson are similar in many ways to artists like Duchamp, Schwitters and Picasso, particularly with the use of daily objects for her creations.
The show includes more than 70 works including sculptures, paintings and terracotta works that encompass early fifty years of her artistic career from the 1930s to the late 1980s.
