Madama Butterfly

Rome's Teatro dell'Opera will be staging Madama Butterfly, the celebrated opera in three acts by Giacomo Puccini based on the libretto by Luigi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa.

The opera, a co-production with Palermo's Teatro Massimo, will be shown with a new and previously unseen staging by Pinchas Steinberg.

The Teatro dell'Opera orchestra and choir will be accompanying the main performers, including Daniela Dessì, Maria Josè Siri, Alexey Dolgov, Kamen Chane and Audun Iversen.
