Paul Klee and Italy

09/10/2012 - 27/01/2013

Until 27th January 2013, Rome's National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art is hosting the exhibition Paul Klee and Italy, which aims to study the relationship between the great German artist and our country in greater depth.

Through an exhibition made up of one hundred works, both by Paul Klee and other foreign and Italian artists, including Kandinsky, Moholy Nagy, Max Bill, Joseph Albers, Osvaldo Licini, Atanasio Soldati, Achille Perilli and Gastone Novelli, the exhibition analyses the influence of Italian culture and landscapes on the work of the artist, relating them with the various phases in his artistic biography, from the beginning of the Bauhaus period to the last years in Berne.
