Le Scuderie del Quirinale in Rome will host the great show dedicated to Titian from 5 March to 16 June, one of the most important cultural events in 2013.
After the great shows on Bellini, Lorenzo Lotto and Tintoretto, Scuderie del Quirinale will pay homage to Titian Vecellio, another great artist in the modern painting revolution who played a key role in Venetian painting that modernized Italian and European culture.
From his Venetian beginnings at the workshops of Bellini and Giorgione to his great commissions for Charles V and Philip II, Titian’s entire career is represented through many iconographic comparisons that help us understand his artistic evolution from his use of colour to his composition.
