Contemporary Art Centre Venice
Punta della Dogana, which divides the Grand Canal from the Giudecca Canal, hosts Venice’s Centre for Contemporary Art, and the permanent venue for the collection of François Pinault, president of Palazzo Grassi and one of the most influential people in the world of contemporary art.
The Pinault collection is one of the most important collections of contemporary art in the world, with works by contemporary artists such as Jeff Koons, Takashi Murakami, Cindy Sherman, and Richard Prince.
These are flanked by the works of emerging artists, selected from the François Pinault collection, and that are from time to time presented to the public.
This venue also organises events and happenings for meetings with artists, readings, the presentation of new works and conferences.
