Postwar. Italian Protagonists

23/02/2013 - 15/04/2013

The Guggenheim Foundation in Venice is home to the exhibition Postwar. Italian Protagonists from 23 February to 15 April 2013 that, with the works of five great postwar Italian artists, reinterprets the idea of Italian Art Informel.

Five monographic rooms dedicated respectively to Lucio Fontana, Piero Dorazio, Enrico Castellani, Paolo Scheggi and Rodolfo Arico present the inventions of each individual artist in chronological order.

Starting with the founder of the movement, Lucio Fontana, the show illustrates how the subsequent generations have created their own personal pictorial language, studying in particular the figures of two great artists who are still relatively unknown, Paolo Scheggi and Rodolfo Aricò.
