Bevilacqua Fabrics Venice
Venice was renowned for the quality of its fabrics and the technical expertise of its craftsmen, but also for the decorative motifs created by its master weavers.
The Tesseria Bevilacqua maintains an archive of around 3500 designs that are still used to this every day in high fashion and furnishings.
Founded in Venice in 1875, Bevilacqua has branch next to the Bridge of Sighs behind St. Mark’s Basilica.
The antique looms are still in use to this very day and the lush velvet, damask and brocade transport visitors back in time.
The fabrics are also used to make pillows, bedspreads and evening bags.
