Giovanna Zanella - Shoemaker Venice
Giovanna Zanella is an artisan shoemaker who was a student of Rolando Segalin, a master Venetian shoemaker whose creations are particularly popular with artists and painters on account of their original design, but above all for the manual expertise with which they are made.
Giovanna Zanella learned this art, reinterpreting it in her own eccentric, sometimes provocative and always amusing style, creating footwear for both men and women.
However, it is in women's shoes where her creativity is truly unleashed.
Her small workshop also has bags, scarves, clothes and hats - all unique pieces to be worn or simply displayed, so fine is the line between hand-crafted items and works of art.
