What a gem of a hotel. Located next to Mt Marks square and central to all shopping the Luna Baglioni is a true 5 star luxury hotel offering fantastic high quality rooms, a great breakfast and located a short walk to all that Venice offers. If you want quality then the Luna is for you. We spent 3 nights at the hotel in a Junior suite. Views over St Marks square and a balcony in our bedroom offering views over the Judaica Canal. Bathroom was huge and even had a TV to watch while you have a bath. Book with a Virtuoso travel agent like FBI Travel, and receive upgrades, breakfast and VIP treatment. We are in love with Venice and my wife and I want to go back again soon. The hotel has a Bar and restaurant but it was the big breakfast that started our day in the best possible way. This was a fantastic holiday and a hotel we highly recommend.

Perfect! I took my wife to Venice for her birthday and after MUCH deliberation, I settled on the Luna Hotel Baglioni (other forerunners were the Ca'Sagredo, Gritti Palace and the Bauer il Palazzo). I definitely made the right choice; we could not fault anything about it: - LOCATION: perfect - could be approached by canal or by foot; mere steps away from Piazza San Marco yet no disturbance to speak of; - THE ROOM: we had a junior suite; exquisitely appointed - light green silk walls, Murano glass light fixtures, Fortuny lamps, highly polished dark wood furniture, decadent bed frame and canopy and a HUGE marble bathroom (with his and her sinks, a walk-in shower with a rainforest shower-head and a separate stand-alone bathtub, etc.); - SERVICE: the 'Elite Service' (pre-arrival request for information about personal preferences) is a very nice touch. Also, the staff were very courteous and helpful - e.g., suggesting/organising activities; their restaurant recommendations were spot-on! - PRICE: I felt that the hotel was far better value for money than (among others) the Gritti Palace, the various Bauers and other comparables (which we also happened to visit during our stay). We will definitely be staying here again next time we visit Venice.

I chose this Hotel for the first 3 nights of my Honeymoon based on Trip Advisor. First of all I would like to note that my search was only within 5 Star Hotels. We arrived at the airport and took the Water Taxi straight to the Hotel dock. This cost us 95 EUR. The Junior Sweet number 308 was AMAZING and waay beyond our expectations! Room furniture was Venetian style and beautiful. Room had a sitting area, dining area, dressing room and a huge balcony. My wife LOVED it. Service was good and concierge was helpful. The hotel took us to a Glass Factory in Murano via a private boat for Free. Room has everything from safe box, slippers and bath robes. Bathroom has a standing shower, jacuzzi, two sinks and all the required showering stuff. Bedroom is the coziest hotel room I had ever stayed at. I will post photos soon along with this review. Moreover, I booked with the same Hotel chain (Baglioni Hotels) in Florence. Upon my arrival I found that they automatically and without request upgraded us to a Junior Sweet with Breakfast and invited us for dinner at 3 different restaurants for our three night stay. Restaurants were excellent and we were so pleased. I would definitely recommend the Luna to anyone going to Venice.

This hotel was fabulous. It is located extremely close to St. Mark's Square and The Hard Rock Cafe. Our room was beautiful and the whole hotel had a very elegant feel to it. The breakfast provided by the hotel was a nice selection of food.

The most fabolous hotel in Venice. I’ve traveled throughout Europe and I can’t give the Hotel Luna and the amazing service staff enough compliments. During our stay, from the moment we arrived via water taxi, we were attended to as if we were royalty. From the hotel manager to concierge, our time spent at Luna was the best experience I have had in Europe. We even stayed an extra night because of the service and beauty of the hotel. Also, the chef in their restaurant is a genius and every course was perfectly matched by the sommelier’s master wine pairing.

We loved our stay at the Luna Baglioni. The location just steps away from the Piazza San Marco is excellent and unexpectedly quiet. The only disappointment was the apparent lack of doormen, as no one was around to help us get our luggage from the water-taxi into the hotel -- we were on our own. Other than that, however, service was excellent, and the concierge was cordial and helpful. We had a cozy but beautiful room with sumptuous silk draperies and bedcovers and a gorgeous marble bathroom. The room was very quiet despite being situated on the mezzanine overlooking the entryway and a gondola dock. Breakfast was served in a magnificent ballroom that belonged in a museum. The breakfast buffet was massive and opulent. Be sure to have a cocktail on the tiny veranda along the canal -- there are only three tables and the drink prices are high (about 18-20 Euros a piece), but the experience is worth it. We were served three different sets of complimentary hors d'oeuvres with just one drink purchased, and the waiter service was outstanding. We only wish we could have stayed here longer, and will definitely return.

We stayed in Luna Baglioni in May 2009 for our wedding anniversary. This hotel was wonderful and just what we wanted from our romantic trip. First of all, we took the water taxi from the airport, which goes directly to the hotel. Our trip couldn't start in a more romantic way. We booked the suite for 4 nights and were happy with our choice. The hotel is located in a historical building, steps from San Marco square and next to the Harry's Bar - Cipriani restaurant. The staff was lovely and the breakfast decent in an impressive ballroom. We didn't spent much time inside and haven't tried any facilities but we were impressed with the staff knowledge and suggestions as one night we realized the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed. They recommended even better one! My husband is Italian and he prepared well, so if he was impressed, so will you!

I stayed here during a business trip. My room was a standard room, but it was excellent. Fine furnishings and a rich decor. The staff seemed always on the lookout to make things as good as they get. Truly a first class hotel. And, the best part... Long after the cruise ships are gone you are a mere 30 second walk away to the square. At night the square is fantastic.

My wife and I have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Luna Baglioni - chosen based on the reviews on this site. It was our first trip to Venice so have nothing to compare with, although based on appearances, we were very happy with our choice. It's a great spot for San Marco and the higher end shops/boutiques. We had a Junior Suite with a lagoon view which was just great - plenty of room, views of the lagoon from one of the windows and a balcony. Staff here are very helpful and courteous. Nice bar and restaurant with attentive waiters. We were celebrating our 40th birthdays and there were some nice little touches such as the bottle of Cava and chocolate dipped fruit. Will be going back to Venice at some point and will almost certainly be returning to the Luna Baglioni.

This hotel is amazing, just gorgeous, service is top notch and so extremely helpful and friendly! We got in late at night and the bar had great cocktails and service..no food though so late, but there was a cute place walking distance that had good food called Baccarat. Even though we did not get into Venice until about 10pm, they upgraded our room without us having to ask, thanks to AmEx Travel for the great recommendation! Location was perfect, walking distance from most sightseeing, st marks basilica, tower and piazza square in san marco! Hotel set up a private shuttle to Murano for a glassblowing factory tour and a ride back, it was very enjoyable, wish we had more time in Venice! The gondola ride and dinner was romantic and tasty!
