Stayed in Hotel Luna for 3 nights - world-class experience!! Just prior to our trip in Venice we stayed in a 5 star hotel in Rome but Hotel Luna was 2 notches higher at 50% of the price !! The staff know how to run a hotel and created the whole experience... from the classy bar with its proud barman, theatre tickets, to the day trip they organized to Murano and Burano islands (probably one of the best kept secrets in Venice). It will come back to hotel again & again. Well done Hotel Luna.

We had booked in the Monaco & Grand Canal next door but were moved to this hotel for 1 of the 2 nights. No complaints there, a huge room overlooking the canal and backing on to St Marks Square. Decor not really to our taste, brocaded walls, floor length drapes, very rococo. But very comfortable and superb location. Good breakfast in magnificent setting. One small gripe: there was a wood fire burning in the salon downstairs and the smell of smoke seemed to get everywhere in the hotel.

My husband and I recently stayed here for a day and a half prior to joining the Orient Express. After a smooth transition from the airport by boat we arrived at the hotel. We were warmly greeted and our bags brought into the hotel. Reception staff were attentive. Because we arrived before our room was ready, we decided to go out and about to explore. Our room was still not quite ready but we were given complimentary refreshments in the bar while we waited. Our bedroom had a side view of the canal below and had a small balcony. The room was elegantly furnished and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was functional. Towels were replaced at turndown and there were bathrobes and slippers provided. Toiletries were of a good standard. All the staff were very helpful. Like some other reviewers we thought the restaurant very expensive and decided to eat out. The concierge recommended a local eating place and booked it for us. We found this hotel to be very well placed with regards to tourism. It is just round the corner from St. Marks Square and the Doges Palace. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely use this hotel again.

From the moment I was greeted to the final arrivederci, my stay at this hotel was wonderful. I had stayed at it before, but this was my first time traveling solo. The staff could not have been more charming and genuinely helpful. My room was fabulous, overlooking the canal. When my flights were cancelled two days in a row, the hotel accommodated me so graciously I could not believe it. The location is perfect, tucked away behind St. Mark's square, and water taxi will deliver you from the airport right up to the door of the hotel. It is a wonderful way to experience Venice. I will always return to the Luna Hotel (but I won't give up the number of the room I had--it was amazing!).

5+++++ Stars!!!! It was our 4th wedding anniversary, and the General Manager seemed to have everything arranged beautifully! I never met the General Manager, but my wife and I did meet the Hotel Manager who was so kind and even gave a gift to my wife when we were leaving. The Hotel staff were so pleasant as well. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel even upgraded us at no charge. The Buffet breakfast for very "elegant". Again the staff made us feel they were truly working for us. We felt so pampered! If you want a romantic hotel extremely close to St. Mark's square, this is it!!!

My husband and I visited the hotel in mid October, 10. It was our Honeymoon and we wanted to stay somewhere really nice. For all three locations (Paris, Venice and Rome) we trusted Trip Advisor and I am glad we did! The location is truly amazing! One block from the gorgeous Saint Marks square! Room was gorgeous! I felt like a princess! There was one thing I would have changed. I like to sleap in and with the room looking our on the busy street it was not possible. If you like quiet ask for the room looking out on the water side.

If You Want to Feel Like Royalty, the Luna Baglioni is the Place for You. The Luna Baglioni may be expensive, but if you're looking to splurge then it is definitely worth it. It's Venice's oldest - and from what we saw best - hotel. The ornate decor, historic grand ballroom and impeccable service take you back in time and make you feel like royalty, while the modern amenities make it convenient and comfortable. The staff were amazing and went out of their way to help us with things like a mistake with a rental car booking, reservations for water taxis, etc. The location right around the corner from St. Mark's Square and in the heart of Venice's historic cultural and shopping district can't be beat. The perfect place to get away from it all and really treat yourselves to something special. Highly recommended.

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to you to say thank you to everyone at the Luna Baglioni for a wonderful holiday and engagement. Your commitment and professionalism is second to none. Throughout our stay you all made our stay so special. Little things and attention to detail make a world of difference and you are world class at the finest details. From your room staff, cleaning, reception, decor to breakfast, and bar and restaurant service. Every one of your staff are courteous and willing to please. You are not 5 Star but 10 Star! Please pass our regards and best wishes to you and your staff as they are a true credit to the hotel. We had the most wonderful experiences in Venice as a City but the Luna and its staff where the icing on a fantastic cake and made the visit a very unique look and feel. Yours Sincerely Robert - UK

The Luna gives you what is a rarity in Venice: space, quiet, service and understated luxury. Our room, a superior double, was very cushy in the fabrics, wallpaper, upholster day. The bathroom was great as were the toiletries. The room had a small Juliet balcony that we could stand on and look out (sideways) toward the lagoon. The hotel is not cheap, but from what I've read and heard from friends, it offers a better deal than the Cipriani, the Danilei or the Gritti. I've also read about mediocre rooms in those hotels. Luna is down the street from Harry's Bar and just two minues from Piazza San Marco. And yes, Harry's Bar is worth it for the scene, the Bellinis, and the good food. Dress elegantly even if you are dressed casually--style means a lot to Italians. The Luna Hotel's service is superb, from the maid to the manager. Whenever we had a special request, it was met with courtesy, profesionalism and charm. This trip was my honeymoon, and it was a dream. The Luna helped make this possible. My only negatives are: the Internet costs money from an outside service, and I would like to have seen a restaurant that is less formal than the one they have (although friends have told us the food is excellent.) We did not eat the breakfast, as it was very expensive (as it is at all five-start Italian hotels). Instead, we did what locals do and went to a cafe for cappuccinos and pastry. Italians are not big on breakfast..

Your contact with fascinating Venice begins at twe hotel. The Baglioni is as Venitian as an hotel can get. Just getting into the hotel by the water-taxy entrance with the decorated poles poking out of the canal and the flower boxes, is fascinating. Inside, the decoration, the friendliness of the staff in general and the concierges in particular, make your stay meet your expectations.

Excellent! Perfect central location, very helpful staff, big and comfortable rooms. A bit noisy at night but it was Carnival, and usually everyone's tucked up in bed by eleven so wouldn't normally be a problem. Highly recommend.

My husband and I spent one night here before heading to the Gritti Palace for the second night. For 100 euros a night less we enjoyed this hotel much more. The staff was very helpful and the room was very very comfortable and roomy. We were even given an upgrade on a larger suite with a small porch that had a view of the canal. The hotel includes a complimentary boat ride to murano island to see the glass blowing and a tour of the products after. If done again we would have stayed here and not gone to the gritti palace.

This was my 4th trip to Venice and my first time staying at the Baglioni. I stayed at the Monaco on my last stay and visited the Baglioni where my sister used the Internet in the lobby (budding romance with soon to be fiance). The computers are now gone but the hotel did not disappoint. We booked the least expensive room for a little over 200 Euros a night. I thought the rate was very reasonable. I was worried the Classic Room would be too dowdy and drab but it was nice (quite large) and for our 2 night stay more than adequate. The marble bathroom with a large shower and double sinks was a welcome surprise. The Fortuny lights hanging near the bed was also a nice touch. We visited Venice during the "high water" in late November. Therefore we could not leave the hotel the next morning until after 11:30 am. One of the stores across from the back door was ruined as it was completely flooded. The hotel provided orange plastic boots to put over your shoes. We did not use them but other guests did who had to get to the airport. We did hear the sirens and bells at 5:30 am warning Venetians of the high water to come in the morning. This also happened the second night but the water was not nearly as high. We ate breakfast in the grand dining room with beautiful frescos. The best part about the restaurant was the decor. The breakfast buffet was disappointing. For 42 euros per person for the "big buffet" (hot and cold items) it could be a lot better. Luke warm scrambled eggs, wieners, bacon, smoked salmon and some nondescript cheese was a rip off. We only ate here because of the flooding outside the hotel. The next day we found a nice cafe and had a very good breakfast at reasonable cost. The staff at the hotel were very patient and gave us good directions. However, one of the Venetian mask stores that I have seen mentioned on the Luna Baglioni website was not mentioned by the front desk. I had to ask him about it. The one store he did mention was not that good (begins with an "N"). Marega was much better as was Casin de Nobile. The hotel was very clean and I took the stairs for the exercise to our 3rd floor room. I loved the free wifi. That was a very nice amenity. With the exception of the disappointing breakfast I enjoyed our stay very much.

We spent two nights in this lovely hotel. Although out of season the staff were fantastic. The hotel was quite and very comfortable, the restaurant was a bit expensive but we did receive a discount as residents, the food was lovely and service second to none. If you want luxury in Venice then stay here, location is great and trip from airport via taxi was pleasant as you get dropped off at the front of the hotel.
