"2008 good news - wonderful hotel". Well, things have changed at the Due Torri. I, as most people only read the reviews after returning. Good Job too, as things have obviously changed significantly at the Du Torri. We arrived to great service to the room - nice clear guides in the beautiful room. Excellent levels of service with many extra touches. Bowl of fruit in the room - the weather forecast left on the bed each night for the next day - a lit candle in the bathroom in the evening when the beds were turned down. We stayed when the group Kiss were playing the ampitheatre, but the staff dealt well with the ensuing comotion as if it were just another day. The staff are welcoming, helpful and fantastic. Food in the hotel was excellent, and the service extremely attentive. We give particular gratitude to Franco at the bar. Extremely friendly, helpful - gave us good recommendations for things to do and places to eat. All in all, I would say that this place really has smartened up it's act - and I would recommend that it certainly does deserve it's 5* status. To be honest, can't fault it and if your budget will take you there - go for it!

Great location! I found this hotel to be excellent. The giant central room is very elegant and a wonderful place to have a drink. The staff was friendly. The rooms are small but nice--the elevator was small. The breakfast was good. Walking distance to everything.

Great service and location. I must say I am surprized by some of the reviws of this hotel. As a traveller well used to European hotels and having travelled extensively throughout Italy, this hotel is one of my personal favourites. Indeed, I would not consider looking for alternative accomodation for my next visit to Verona. Rooms are traditional in style and comfortable. On arrival I had several questions about both the hotel and the local area, all of which were dealt with in a friendly and professional manner. The hotel benfits from a lovely central ocation which is less than a five minute stroll from the Piazza del Erbe and on to the Arena. Service levels were excellent - you could tell that the hotel had undergone some recent refurbishment work and everything was spot on. On one evening I dined in the Brunello Restaurant, which was both enjoyable and competively priced. Service again was excellent. Breakfast was also of a high standard. In short , I would recommend this hotel for anyone new to Verona, and also for all looking for quality, service and location.
