Established in 1550. Trattoria i 4 Leoni (The 4 lions) is located in Piazza della Passera in Florence’s historic centre and has been serving authentic Florentine cuisine, in a charming, refined setting for centuries.
In the summer months, diners can dine outside on lovely patio overlooking one of the most characteristic corners of Florence.
The menu features Florentine appetisers such as Artichoke hearts with cream cheese, Bresaola and truffle oil, Tuscan crostini, Platters of cheese and cold cuts and pickled vegetables.
Meat dishes such as Peposo dell’Impruneta (Tuscan tilemaker’s stew), Straccetti all’aceto balsamico (stips of fillet steak with balsamic vinegar) and Gran fritto dell’aia (mix of fried chicken, rabbit and vegetables) are without doubt the trattoria’s speciality.
All desserts are all made in-house.
The wine list has a wide range of Tuscan and Italian labels, plus a selection of French champagnes.
