This May the historical city of Venice will welcome innovative sailing boats to take part in the America’s Cup and The Luna Hotel Baglioni, situated in the heart of Venice overlooking San Giorgio Island and St.Mark’s will be the ideal place to watch these boats take part in the racing trials.
From 12th – 20th May all of Venice’s calli or streets will welcome the arrival of the America’s Cup whilst the sailing teams will take part in special races along some of Venice’s canals. It will start off with regattas taking place in front of Palazzo Ducale and will end with performances in front of the Lido.
The most significant days will be those between 17th and 20th May, when the teams will battle it out in a match race followed by a final race that will declare the winner of the series.
The city will also host other exclusive events alongside all of the racing, with boats parading in the Basin as well as a special tourist village, which can be found in Riva degli Schiavoni.
The Luna Hotel Baglioni in Venice is located just a few steps away from the regatta’s main races and events and only two minutes on foot from Palazzo Ducale where the most important parts of the event will take place.
