Rediscover the beauty of Venice and experience this unique event in Venice in total safety
The Feast of the Redeemer is one of the few civic and religious festivals that have endured through the centuries in Venice. The spiritual and the spectacular go hand in hand in one of the Venetian people’s best-loved and most deeply felt celebrations. As tradition requires, the boats emerge at sunset, decked out in their magnificent finery, to throng St Mark’s waterfront and the Giudecca canal. The city will be decorated with magnificent lights and celebrating with music. This unique, irrepressible festival stems from an historic moment of collective euphoria at the end of a lengthy ordeal. For in 1577, when a tragic epidemic was finally overcome, such was the lagoon dwellers’ joy that the Venetian Senate decided to erect a temple to Christ the Redeemer, on Giudecca island.
Don’t miss this remarkable event – in a year when the event has more resonance than ever – from the comfort of an exclusive, privileged and totally safe location. In celebration of the Feast of the Redeemer and the reopening of the Baglioni Hotel Luna, a gala evening will be held for a strictly limited number of guests. Our Chef Massimo Livan will be delighting this select group with a special menu dedicated to the most important festivities on the Venetian calendar. For this special occasion, every course will be paired with wines from Giusti Wines and cocktails by Select.
