Many labs, workshops and storytellers
Families at Palazzo Strozzi
Palazzo Strozzi, one of the most important museums in Italy, offers a calendar of top events and exhibitions that aim to actively involve visitors. By bearing this in mind, Palazzo Strozzi Foundation has designed several exhibitions for families with illustrations suitable for even the younger visitors along with a series of initiatives to make the visit pleasant for both young and old.
A full calendar of activities for different age groups along with workshops, storytelling and drawing activities during exhibitions plus special visits for parents with children under 3 and strollers are just some of Palazzo Scotti’s offerings, certified as the first international “learning destination” by The Children’s University.
Children will get a suitcase called Art Monopoly with the price of admission. When they open it, they discover a game board. They just need to roll the dice and count the squares to go see the real piece of art that was selected.
The Art Cards are another free way to get to know the art on display and have a souvenir to take home, and the Colouring Kit has a colouring book, pencil, eraser and a short guide to let you visit the exhibit while colouring.
The special audio guides for kids let them teach their parents about the show while, if you book in advance, your children can tour the exhibit with a Storyteller who will illustrate the works as if they were a fairytale.
