When the company was dissolved, Roberto understood that his future would move in that direction due to his great love for Hotellerie. In 1974 the Baglioni Resort of Punta Ala was born. This is where Roberto married Lisa, and where their son Guido Polito — now CEO of Baglioni Hotels — spent his childhood.
The Baglioni Hotels are elegant and sophisticated with an intimate, homely atmosphere. The people who work in them are passionate about every single gesture. Everything is designed to give unforgettable memories, in which the customer is the protagonist of an authentic, personal, Italian story. Over the years, the property has developed a concept of luxury that in its daily management has translated into a “tailor-made” service, making guests feel at ease, understanding their needs throughout the stay, according on to their culture of origin and their desires or aspirations.
The Collection now counts four exclusive hotels: three are in the heart of Italy’s finest art cities (Baglioni Hotel Luna in Venice, Relais Santa Croce in Florence, Baglioni Hotel Regina in Rome) and one in the elegant centre of London’s Kensington district.
2019 marked the launch of the Baglioni Resorts, with the opening of Baglioni Resort Maldives on the pristine isle of Maagau. 2021 saw the inauguration of Baglioni Resort Sardinia on beautiful Lu Impostu beach and 2022 the rebranding of the Masseria Muzza, a magical historic property deep in the Salento countryside, just a few minutes from Otranto.
The latest gem of the Collection is Casa Baglioni Milan, in the artistic district of Brera, opened on 1st February 2023.
Baglioni Hotels & Resorts is looking to expand its horizons. “Our goal”, says Mr. Polito, “is to develop our Brand on an international scale, continuing to serve as ambassadors of the finest Italian hospitality. That’s why in December 2022, I decided to join a financial partnership with the Mexican company Palace Resorts”.
