Adjacent to La Fenice Opera House, Antico Martini is one of Venice’s most exclusive restaurants and is frequented by gourmets and international jet-setters.
Its two dining rooms, decorated with period furniture and paintings, have hosted illustrious celebrities such as Charlie Chaplin, Laurence Olivier, Igor Stravinsky, Jean Cocteau and Arthur Rubinstein.
The menu offers both fresh fish (John Dory, caramote prawns and langoustines) and meat (the Venetian classic, Liver & Onions, and also Chateaubriand) accompanied by seasonal vegetables.
The carefully selected daily produce, the links with traditional Venetian cuisine and the creativity of the chefs bring ever changing menus to life, such as Rosemary blossom cream of potato with caramote prawn tails and Mediterranean slipper lobster, Goose liver escalope with port and bitter orange marmalade, Kamut wheat spaghetti with European lobster with aubergine and smoked ricotta, or John Dory with corn and Jerusalem artichoke puree’.
The wine cellar stocks more than 400 labels from all over Italy, France and the world’s main wine-producing countries.
