Ristorante Locanda La Luna, an old 18th-century estate that has been completely renovated, is located in the medieval village of Tirli (GR).
The restaurant is very popular for its typical Maremma cuisine, prepared with a few creative touches.
La Luna’s speciality is undoubtedly game. Its menu includes Bresaola di capriolo su indivia belga, pinoli e scaglie di grana (Venison bresaola on Belgian endive with pine nuts and grana padano cheese), Carpaccio di cinghiale su rucola con melone e aceto balsamico (Wild boar carpaccio on rocket with melon and balsamic vinegar), Pici al colombaccio (Homemade pasta with wood pigeon) and Piccione ripieno alla moda di Maremma (Stuffed pigeon alla Maremma).
The classic Fiorentina steak also makes an appearance as do a variety of dishes and side dishes prepared using local produce and a wide selection of local cheeses.
The wine list includes more than 40 labels, mostly Tuscan, with other important Italian and imported wines.
