Canova Restaurant is a perfect culinary oasis, a few steps from the entrance of
San Marco Square, where in the past, in that same space, stood a Templari’s church.

Winner of both the Fogher d’Oro and Gambero Rosso awards, Canova Restaurant represents an example of elegance and fineness in the international food and wine scene. By the arrival of warm season, the terraces offer a breath-taking view of the Canal and the Royal Gardens.

The cuisine, signed by Chef Daniele Zennaro, offers menu that mix local recipes of the venetian cuisine with the international trend and varieties: by the Italian typical taste born a culinary proposal which is connect to the tradition in a modern reinterpretation.


Meet our Chef

Daniele Zennaro combines the flavors of the traditional cuisine with international tastes and trends. For a gourmet experience which even satisfy the most demanding palate.

With a big talent and proficiency, Chef Daniele Zennaro, from Veneto Region, reinforces his experience in 2009, working as Executive Chef at the historical “Vecio Fritolin” restaurant. Particularly attentive to food intolerances, he has taken part in drafting of the book titled “Gluten Free d’autore”, together with an international wells-known chefs as Davide Oldani, Philippe Léveillé e Filippo La Mantia.

He had many chances to astonish famous guests with his dishes, such as Al Pacino and his troupe during the shooting of the movie “The merchant of Venice.” Recently, on the occasion of Expo 2015, he took part in the television program “The Cooking Show – il mondo in un piatto”, cooking his “Venetian tacos”, a reinterpretation of the Mexican recipe with local ingredients.

Since July 2016 Chef Daniele Zennaro has been leading the kitchen brigade of the elegant Canova Restaurant inside the historical Baglioni Hotel Luna in Venice. the research of local products, connected to his childhood and traditions is the Chef’s culinary philosophy, who gets touched mixing his memories with international tastes and trends.
